Synthesis and crystal structure of bis(N,N '-salicylidene)-3,3 '-dimethoxy-4,4 '-benzidine
摘要：The crystal and molecular structures of bis(N, N'-salicylidene)-3,3'-dimethoxy-4,4-benzidine, [CH3O(C6H3)NCC6H4OH](2) were determined by X-ray crystallography in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c, with lattice parameters a = 18.013(4), b = 11.729(5), c = 12.420(3) angstrom, beta= 119.98(3)degrees, V = 2272.9(4) angstrom(3), and Z = 2. The crystal structure of the title compound is built up of discrete monomeric molecules of [CH3O(C6H3)NCC6H4OH](2), having axial symmetry.
