摘要:A new type α hydrocyclone with long curve cone and fluid guide board was designed in order to be used to obtain eligible water before the disposal of seawater by membrane device. The Reynolds stress model (RSM) with CFD simulation software Fluent 6.2 was used to analyze the distribution rule of velocity vector, tangential velocity, axial velocity and other parameters. The influences of long curve cone and fluid guide board on the separation efficiency were studied. According to the simulation results, a general hydrocyclone and a new type α hydrocyclone both having the same size were constructed. Using the mixture of fine sand and water as feed material, the separation performances of these two hydrocyclones were compared. The simulation and experimental results show that, compared with the general hydrocyclone, not only the flow field of the new type α hydrocyclone is steady, but also its energy cost and pressure drop are lower. Under the same operation condition, the separation efficiency of the new type α hydrocyclone is higher than that of the general hydrocyclone. The experiments show that the powder separation efficiency of the new type α hydrocyclone for particles of about 5 μm is 90%, and when the split ratio is 0.87, its cut off diameter is 1.3 μm.
