High-performance flexible 1D supercapacitor using NiCo BC/MoO3 nanosheets and Fe2O3 flakes

摘要:To address the challenges posed by the fossil energy crisis and environmental pollution, extensive research and development efforts have been dedicated to exploring novel forms of energy storage devices, with a particular focus on supercapacitors. In this study, NiCo basic carbonate (BC)/MoO3 was synthesized using a hydrothermal method on copper wire (CW), resulting in the CW@NiCo BC/MoO3 electrode, which served as the positive electrode and exhibited a specific capacitance of 17.9 F cm-3 . Meanwhile, Fe2O3 nanosheets were obtained by calcining Fe wire (FW) followed by immersion in a NaBH4 aqueous solution, producing the FW@Fe2O3 negative electrode with a specific capacitance of 37.4 F cm-3 . A high-performance flexible supercapacitor with a onedimensional structure was fabricated using the CW@NiCo BC/MoO3 positive electrode and the FW@Fe2O3 negative electrode. This supercapacitor achieved a maximum energy density of 2.004 mWh cm-3 at a power density of 159.63 mW cm-3 , while demonstrating excellent durability with 80 % capacitance retention even after 6000 cycles.
