Abstract:Using 2-ethyl-1,3,4-trimethylimidazolium as structure-directing agent(SDA), B-substituted STW-type silicate zeolite (B-STW), was synthesized in a concentrated gel at 175 degrees C for 2-5 d. The B-STW sample was characterized by the inductively coupled plasma analysis (ICP), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), N-2 adsorption-desorption isotherm, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and temperature programmed desorption of ammonia (NH3-TPD) analyses. The results show that B-STW has weak acidity after removal of SDA and is thermally stable up to 750 degrees C.
