摘要:Photon energy and low-grade heat are two of abundant natural energies, while, it is remaining a great challenge to simultaneously store and utilize these two energies in high efficiency. In this study, a type of arylazopyrazolebased ammonium surfactants is designed as new molecular solar thermal fuels. The energy storage ability of such surfactants could be tailored by the aliphatic spacer chain between arylazopyrazole and ammonium head, gaining the highest photon energy storage of 176.2 J/g from the trans-cis isomerization of arylazopyrazole and low-grade heat energy storage of 115.2 J/g from the phase change process. Under the assistance of rational design, the surfactants achieve total gravimetric energy density as high as 291.7 J/g with good storage stability. The stored photon and low-grade heat energies could be transferred into upgraded heat under Vis irradiation, which realizes efficient deicing application in our tests. More interestingly, such surfactants can generate longterm release of upgraded heat for more than 40 min through a process of in situ photothermal conversion from visible light. This opens an opportunity of applying such surfactants as long-term heating source by reasonably taking advantage of UV and visible light in the absence of any heating condition, largely widening the application scenarios of molecular solar thermal fuels.
