Syntheses, structure and biological activities of 2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-oxo-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) ethyl morpholine-4-carbodithioate

• Abstract:New 2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-oxo-1-(1H, 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) ethyl miorpholine-4-carbodithioate has been synthesized and charactered by IR, H-1 NMR and X-ray crystallography. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P-1, with cell dimensions of a=7.300 (3), b=7.588(3), c=18.035(8) angstrom, V=922.7 (7) angstrom(3) and Z=2. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into chains by C13-H13A... S2 and C10-H10B... N3 hydrogen bonds along the a axis. While the pi...pi interactions connect the chains further into two-dimensional layers. The packing is stabilized by other CH center dot center dot center dot S and C-H center dot center dot center dot N interactions into three-dimensional framework. The compound showed fungicidal activity at 50 mg/ml and plant growth regulating activity at 10 mg/ml.
