Preparation and heat-resistant properties of TiO2 nano-composite antimicrobial powder

Abstract:TiO2 nano-composite antimicrobial powder was prepared by the co-precipitation method using TiCl4 and Al2(SO4)3 as raw materials. The heat-resistance and antimicrobial properties of the TiO2 nano-composite antimicrobial powder were studied, and the basic structure of the composite was analyzed. The results show that the crystalline structure of TiO2 nano-composite antimicrobial powder is only anatase after calcination at 900°C. A mixed crystalline structure with 77% in mass anatase is formed at 950°C, with an average particle size of about 20-30 nm. The nano-composite antimicrobial powder after calcination at 950°C has superior absorbance in the ultra-visible region than that in the pure TiO2 nano-antimicrobial film after calcination at 700°C. The uniform surface absorption and bond restriction mechanism of the Al2O3 composite agent are reasons to delay the phase transition process and particle growth of TiO2 nanocrystals.
