Abstract:The up-conversion materials of NaYF<inf>4</inf>Yb, Er with hollow structural were prepared successfully by a solvothermal method using rare earth trifluoroacetate, sodium fluoride and sodium trifluoroacetate as raw materials. Also, the effect of temperature and the concentration of [Na+] on their morphology, crystal phase and luminescence properties were investigated. The morphology, phase structure and luminescence properties of the samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, and luminescence spectra. The results indicate that the hollow structure up-conversion materials can be obtained through solvothermal treatment at 220 for 12 h when the molar ratio of NaF to Y3+ is 2.5. The obtained materials have up-conversion luminescence properties, and the hollow structure makes it a candidate for drug carrier. ©, 2015, Rengong Jingti Xuebao/Journal of Synthetic Crystals.
