摘要:The continuous advancement of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) highlights the need for sustainable, biodegradable materials. Silk fibroin (SF), a natural protein from Bombyx mori silk, has emerged as a promising candidate for TENG applications due to its remarkable mechanical properties, biocompatibility, and biodegradability. This review explores the structural, molecular, and triboelectric properties of SF and its integration into energy harvesting and self-powered sensing devices. Key focus areas include SF's charge transport capabilities, mechanical robustness, and biodegradability, making it ideal for wearable electronics, healthcare monitoring, and environmental sensors. The review also discusses strategies for enhancing the performance of SF-based TENGs, including surface modification and the incorporation of nanomaterials like carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and MXenes. Additionally, it outlines the potential of SF-based TENGs in biocompatible, self-powered sensors, which offer significant benefits for biomedical applications. Challenges and future directions are also examined, emphasizing SF's role in advancing sustainable energy solutions.
